Another common name for Goldstone is Aventurine Glass based on its original name “avventurina” meaning adventure.
It was invented by the Miotti family in Venice during the 17th century although alternative stories tell how an Italian monk was making glass in his monastery when he accidentally spilled some of the copper fillings into his moltenn glass. The recipe was kept secret and passed down to the monks through time.
It is known as a master healer providing wisdom, energy and courage as well as being a good deflector of negative energy.
